April 13, 2009 Board Meeting Summary

Mr. Gee introduced the new Internal Auditor, Jenni Schelling.

Mr. Schardein referenced the Calendar of Events and pointed out the Mayor’s Community Conversation and Metro Council meetings scheduled in April.

Mr. Schardein also informed the Board of the Water Environment Federation Collection Systems Conference that is scheduled for April 20th through April 22nd and invited all Board members to attend. The conference will be held at the Kentucky Convention Center. Interested persons should contact Brian Bingham for further information.

Mr. Schardein recognized Mike Ryan, an MSD operations employee for his quick response in shutting down a vactor truck when the hose broke, creating a hazardous situation. His efforts helped to save the life of a contractor.
