Collection System Monitoring

In order to be proactive in its approach to wastewater treatment, MSD has reviewed the need for collection system sampling and monitoring. From this effort, a new program entitled the Collection System Monitoring Program emerged.

MSD has the following monitoring sites:

Existing Monitoring Sites

1. 45 Permanent Flow Monitoring Sites - all are Telog telemetered
2. 8 Short Term Flow Monitoring Sites - these are moved to various locations throughout the year
3. 30 CSO Flow Monitoring Sites - all are Telog telemetered
4. 10 SSO Flow Monitoring Sites - 1 is Telog telemetered
5. 17 Periodic Sampling Sites - conducted quarterly

MSD will be adding 20 additional Short Term Flow Monitoring Sites in the future.
