Project Description

 

This project will provide a method to screen and remove particulate from the influent line of the Barbour Lane Pump Station.

 

 

Need

 

The Barbour Lane Pump Station pumps to the Ohio River Force Main (ORFM) to a receiving manhole at Hancock and Clay Streets in downtown Louisville. There are air release valves located at high points along the ORFM that experience failures due to clogging from particles in the wastewater. This project will remove a significant amount of particles in the wastewater which will improve the operation of the ORFM.

 

 

Other Information

Project design has been completed but placed on hold. MSD Operations requested this project be delayed. Design Plans have been received by MSD.
