Floyds Fork Flow

Customer Service: (502) 587-0603Report as of Wednesday, July 02, 2008

Project Description

Floyds Fork WTP may experience high flows during periods of wet weather due to the connection of several small package plants in the area. This project will be used to identify those areas with high flows.

Need

The area that will be served by the new Floyds Fork WTP consists of several existing isolated sewer systems that have histories of significant wet-weather inflow and infiltration (I&I) problems. This has resulted in sanitary sewer overflows, and the treatment plants and pump stations in these systems being overloaded during periods of wet weather.

Other Information

The purpose of this project is to identify and categorize areas of the collection system by severity of I&I contribution. These areas will then be either recommended for further study or immediate rehabilitation in future projects.
