Habitat: trees Population: Fairly common to uncommon in woodland,forest edge
Migration: migratory Feeders: Raisins and berries
Appearance: brownish head and back, long brownish crest, gray rump and and upper tail coverts, yellow trim on end of gray black tail, white underline coverts, red waxy tips on secondary flight feathers of older birds, light yellow belly, brownish breast, sides, and wing covers, blackish throat, narrow black mask, bordered white below.
Interesting Facts: Named for the waxlike tips on secondaries. It is social and travels in large flocks in the nonbreeding season. Sometimes nests in l colonies.
