Length: 5 inches Song: Bold rhythmic whichity whichity which.
Wingspan: 8 inches Behavior: Solitary or in pairs.
Weight: 0.4 ounces Breeding: Monogamous. Solitary. Often polygamous.
Habitat: Freshwater marshes, swamps. Population: Some decline in the South, Texas, and San Francisco Bay.
Migration: Migratory Feeders: Eats insects, caterpillars, and spiders.
Appearance: Olive-gray to olive-green upperparts.
Interesting Facts: Neotropical migration. Frequent cowbird host.
