Length: 9-10.5 inches Song: kill-dee or kill-deear or kill-deeah-dee-dee
Wingspan: 19-21 inches Behavior: It runs then stands still to look or listen.
Weight: 3.2 ounces Breeding: Monogamous
Habitat: lakes rivers vicinity sandpits, grassland, open landscapes, freshwater marshes, swamps, and rocky or sandy seashore. Population: Very common in the northeast.
Migration: Migratory Feeders: Insects
Appearance: red eye ring, slim back bill, white underparts, creamy pink legs and feet, gray-brown upperparts, long rounded tail, and bright rufous orange rump.
Interesting Facts: Incubation is 24-28 days
