Length: 5.25-6 inches Song: Chur-Chur-Chur-wee-wee-wee-wee-wah
Wingspan: 7.25-8. 75 inches Behavior: Solitary or in Pairs, kicks backwards with both feet as it scratches among leaves on the ground.
Weight: 0.8 Breeding: monogamous, solitary
Habitat: Freshwater marshes, mountains,Bushes, and grassland with
scattered trees
Population: uncommon to fairly common in bogs
Migration: Migratory Feeders: insects, small grains, seeds from weeds and grasses
Appearance: Buff colored eye rings, whitish chain and throat, rufous wings and wing coverts, rounded tail
Interesting Facts: The nest is open cup and is located in bare soil and in grass.
