Wingspan: 9.25-10.25 inches Behavior: They pair up in groups during breeding.
Weight: 0.7 ounces Breeding: monogamous
Habitat: open forest, more space between the
trees, tundra forest, semi-open
Population: common in open woodland, farmlands, scrub/mesquite, shade trees and orchards
Migration: migratory Feeders: fruit, insects, flowers, nectar
Appearance: male - black hood, back, and wings;
female - yellow underparts, olive upper, 2 white wing bars
Interesting Facts: vocal and often conspicuous, approachable
